Competitions
Events of T.A.I.
Every two years, the European Traditional Open (ETO) will take place. In the years between there will be an European Historical Open (EHO). As for Europe, the same applies in the future for Asia and of course other continents.
All important information on upcoming registration, accommodation and competition rounds can be found here or on the web pages of the organizing federation.
Also important for future individual participants from countries with no associated clubs or associations: you have to apply for a membership first before entering any event or competition.
The diffence between … Traditional Open (…TO) & … Historical Open (…HO)
The Traditional Open (…TO) is a Traditional Championship open to all members of the T.A.I. community. The first letter of the abbreviation identifies the continent in which the event takes place — for example, E stands for Europe. The T represents Traditional, and the O stands for Open, meaning that participation is open to all T.A.I. members regardless of their regional affiliation.
Similarly, the Historical Open (…HO) follows the same structure, with the H replacing the T to indicate Historical. Both championships celebrate the spirit of traditional and historical archery, each honoring its distinct discipline and heritage.
